On Thursday, I’m off to Germany for a couple of weeks (with a side trip to Prague). I’m planning to do a few entries while I’m gone (including some video entries), so stay tuned for that. Since this is my first time blogging a trip, please be patient.

I’ve been to German once before but only visited Berlin and Munich. I’m flying into Frankfurt and am hoping to explore more rural areas this time with a wine region and castle or two thrown in for fun. And Prague has been on my to-visit list for as long as I’ve had such a list.

For reading on the plane, I’m taking Prague Pictures by John Banville from the Writer in the City Series. I’ve read almost all the books in this series and highly recommend them for those who like more literary travel writing.
